No doubt about it, setting prices can be one of the trickiest elements of running your business.

Questions to Consider

What do I need to receive to regenerate my resources? Consider...

What do I need to make to live well? Each week, monthly, year? Divide that into a timeframe that makes sense for you.

Then, consider how much work you can take on. How many clients at a time? How many orders at a time? Play with those numbers to find a match between them. I.e. if you can take 5 clients in a month and want to make $5,000 a month, each client needs to pay $1,000 a month. If you can take on 200 orders a month and you want to make $10,000 a month, your average order needs to be $50, meaning you can price products around $50, or with some lower at $15-$35, and some higher at $75-$150.

Take a moment to sit or stand somewhere that feels comfortable and easy. Take a few deep breaths into your belly to feel more centered, calm and present. Notice what you feel in your body right now, then I want you to consider what yes feels like in your body. Think about a time when you’ve known for sure that yes was the right choice, that you wanted to move forward, take the next step, say yes. Get familiar with that feeling. Are there colors, patterns, textures associated with it? Feelings, sensations, smells? Then, move into identifying the opposite of that feeling. What does no feel like in your body? When did you experience a moment that was clearly a no? What did that feel like?

Now, keeping both of those experiences in your mind, explore the following.

What amount will it take for me to feel excited and happy about doing this work? What will leave me feeling fulfilled and regenerated? What amount can I not imagine making? What number feels too bold, too big, too much to imagine or charge right now? This is the range of your pricing window. As you explore this, feel into what feels true in your body. This isn’t about logic or what’s normal or what anyone else is doing. It’s about your unique reality and capacity right now.

Then, imagine charging each of the below prices for that offer. Notice what that number feels like in your body.
